My Quest for a lifestyle.
Figure Skater, Ballet Dancer, Springboard Diver, Gymnast, Bodybuilder.

I'm a very competitive athlete and I enjoy every minute I step on the stage, just like I enjoy every minute I step on the ice to perform.

Back in 1976, I began as a figure skater, began to loved that sport and started training as a roller skater at first then did my first competition after only training for 1 month and won 1st in my level.

Now I retired from figure skating after 1988 Olympics and 1988 International Roller Skating. Yes, I did both discipline Roller and ice Skating. Although, even up to now when i step on the ice I feel free just like when I step my foot in the gym it feels at home.

As a former Olympian in Figure Skating, I know how hard work means and the sport figure skating is a complicated sports both metally and physically. With that behind me I trully believe that it help my bodybuilding discipline in training, diet and way of life.

However, training is a best thing about this sports of bodybuilding, every rep that get you pump gives me the thrill of everything, like a natural high as those endorphins kick in, as your muscle grows while you pump each rep. Nevertheless, Cardio sucks but it's alright we got to burn the fat somehow.

I have been involve with this weight training since 1983 as a supplement training for my main sport as a figure skater. Then I started bodybuilding in 1999 when I got help from my trainer Todd Opheim in Idaho, then I got a taste of my first contest in 2000 where I won the whole contest in Idaho. Then it began the craze to get BIG..

I moved to California to get a better training and realized there's more to it than what it looks.  So I went back to training and after a 4 year lay off from the contest and realizing that it's so hard to get into contest shape again.

I had a chance to meet Barbara Garcia whom I have the pleasure to train with and help me to get back in shape when she first saw me, I was 221 lbs and she said you can do Orange Classic in 5 weeks. So I diet down to 174 lbs. Even though I did not place, I just wanted to get the feel of the contest once again and I was very please to be on stage again.

Then I met Meriza and Pete help us since July 2007 and I can't be any happier. They transformed my body in the best shape that I can be. Amazing people, amazing trainers and nutritionist.

Preparing for a contest!

Proper training is the key to success along with the right timing of the diet.  Everybody has something to say about the diet but you just have to find that works best for you.  The key is to control your Carbs.  My off season diet is actually pretty interesting, I love KFC, McDonalds, Taco Bell... and most specially I can eat a lot of Buffalo Wings.
